This series was originally created for Festival FReDD in Toulouse, France. FReDD is an annual environmental documentary film festival. I was invited to exhibit a series with two other photographers.
The theme for 2017 was “Oceans and Seas,” so I
decided to imagine a sort of an environmental post-apocalyptic world using double exposure techniques.
Traditionally “reclamation” is used when we recover buildings and objects from flooding. If environmental issues go
unaddressed, the sea may, in fact, reclaim our buildings.
Each photo was created completely in-camera, on film, using no post-editing.
